The ventilation adjusts itself to humidity, CO₂ and air quality (VOC), depending on the configuration. Mini-heating and Winter mode switch on and off by themselves.

Mini-heating
Protects the heat exchanger from freezing in the cold season and raises the incoming air by 3–4 °C in night mode.

Winter mode
Defrosts and warms the system after a stop and before the cold season, so frozen moisture can't damage the fans. Use it together with Mini-heating when it's below +4 °C outside.
